What kids do when they are out of school has a critical impact on their development.

We’re working to ensure that Calgary's kids have opportunities to be involved in activities during out-of-school hours.

Reducing the rental rates of schools during critical hours

Working with Faith communities to offer programming in their facilities

Supporting the City of Calgary’s AfterSchool initiative

  • Calgary AfterSchool project launched on September 10.  Parents can find recreational programming for their kids between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. by calling  211 or 311 or by visiting calgary.ca/afterschool
  • In September, TeenZone begins the third year of afterschool programming for kids aged 11-16 in the communities of Saddle Ridge, Martindale, Taradale, Coral Springs, Castleridge and Falconridge. For more information on what is being offered and the locations go to www.calgaryteenzone.com
